WMP to MP3?

I'm getting a RIZR but it only could play mp3 and other ones for apple but i dont have apple.Where can i get a converter without any virus's on it or anything else that will damage my computer.Or can i just get the music from limewire so i can get it.Or will limewire mess up the phone?
