Is there a software program that can serve as a journal?

uhm.. like. making your own diary.
it may or may not be accessed to the web.
but i prefer that it would not be.

do you know a program where you can easily write and edit your thoughts?

Micro soft word is perfect.
I used it to write my first and only book.
To me EXCEL is too hard to use in a ledger format.
with word you can cut and paste everything to your own format
You can find used Microsoft word-excel-PowerPoint almost at any yard sale flea markets for a pretty cheep price
