Should i have the proxy server configured in Utorrent?

in Utorrent, under preferences on the connection tab theres the proxy server settings. mine isnt set up, should it be?

Are you surfing the internet without a proxy (for IE: Tools | Internet Options | Connections | LAN Settings)? If you are able to get in the internet with that setting, you do not need to set one for your utorrent. Moreover, if you are successful in connecting to the torrent network, then there is no need to configure these settings.

If you are using it on your company, there is a chance that you need to specify the proxy. Other ISPs also require you to use proxy to be able to get into the internet.
