How can I ad text to a PDF file?

If you want to add text to an existing PDF file then you need a PDF editor (not pdf writers, like dopdf or primopdf are).

There are some commercial pdf editors available (PDF Fill mentioned above is commercial), but free ones are a few, one of them being PDFedit ( http://pdfedit.petricek.net/pdfedit.inde... )

Pdf995, PrimoPDF or CutePDF are free alternatives to Adobe Acrobat which will allow you to save your document to PDF format. Once one of these are installed you can simply "print" from your document to PDF.
