I guess i have a new problem. Do i need an upgrade?windows XP?

My computer says it has windows service pack one.
It keeps prompting me to get service pack two.
I click to go to the website to install updates but they dont.
it always says unable to install updates. why?
Also I cant find my Security Center on my contol panel or anywere. Or my firewall. why?
What can i do? I want to upgrade!

the security and firewall you are looking for is part of the Service Pack 2.
