Question about Imovie software?

I'm turning 16 in a few months and my parents asked me what i wanted. I told them I wanted a video camera to make movies. They said that was cool. Then I was on youtube and this guy mentioned i movie whats a good video camera that would go along with i movie. Is there a camera out there made for i movie. What type of laptop should I get? An apple laptop?

iMovie only runs on Macs, so yes, an Apple laptop (or desktop) would be the way to go for that (not to mention it's more secure than Windows will ever be). As for the camera, just about any camera that lets you transfer the movies to a computer and doesn't save those movies in some retarded Windows Media format should be fine, and you can always take it back if it doesn't work to your satisfaction. :)
