How can i turn a pdf into a a word doc?

when i copy/paste it only gives me a picture instead of text. i want to be able to edit. help?

Unfortunately, this depends highly on your source PDF document. If you can select the text in Adobe Reader/Acrobat, as in individual letters, there's no reason why it won't work. But if you click within the text and it highlights all of the page, or the general area of the text, it looks like you can't edit it, since it's an image.

open the file in Words. About the picture- try reinstalling Acrobat Reader

The most complete way of doing the conversion is by running the PDF through an OCR (text recognition) program.

You can use Adobe Acrobat (not reader) which is expensive.

You can also print the document and scan it using OCR recognition software.

One of the reasons to use PDF's is so that people cannot copy the document and edit it.
