Limewire hep please?!?!?

i kinda no how to use it but im not sure and but the two big things are
1.how do i convert it to my itunes account
2.how do i tell if what i'm downloading isn't a virus

LimeWire does not keep any record of files being shared on the Gnutella network, nor does it scan any files being uploaded or downloaded for viruses. Therefore, if you attempt to download a virus-infected file using LimeWire, you will be vulnerable to any viruses contained in that file. Generally speaking, you should be very careful when downloading files with a .exe or .vbs suffix, since these files are more likely than most to be viruses. LimeWire's Library will also not launch these files, so you can only run a file with a virus from outside LimeWire. (LimeWire's Library will not launch exe, vbs, lnk, bat, sys, or com files) Scanning the files you download with some sort of virus-protection software is also a good idea.

How do you transfer music files from Limewire to iTunes?

Here is advice:

* You need to drag or copy your music files from the shared folder in Limewire to a separate folder in my music or wherever you store your music and then go into ITunes and click on File then add folder/file to library.

* First, download the music from Limewire (save to a directory). If you are setup correctly with iTunes, you should be to able double click the song downloaded and it automatically should play using iTunes. The music is also stored in the iTune's library. Once it is there, you can create folders within iTunes and drag/drop from the library into the new folder.

* Easiest way is to go to Limewire -> Preferences -> iTunes -> Importing -> Enable iTunes Importing

* Yet another way which is very easy is to first have both the Limewire and Itunes Windows open. Simply select the downloaded song or songs (Hold Ctrl and click on each song for multiple songs) in limewire, left-click and hold and drag your cursor over the minimized itunes window at the bottom (Don't release button yet!). When itunes opens take your cursor over your Library or any playlist and then release the click. The songs should then drop into that library or playlist.

* From my experience, you have to do it manually.

For limewire video, you have to convert your download limewire video to MP4 and then transfer it to iPod through iTunes. For limewire music, just located it on your limewire library, drag the downloaded songs to iTunes library and sync it to iPod. Take a look at this step by step gudie

1. Click and drag mp3 files to itunes, if its videos, download jodix free ipod converter, fast, effective, and you can make the video clearer
2. Viruses are inside the file, hidden, only Norton or Mcafee or some other virsu scanner can tell

then you have the bitzi lookup option so you can tell what youre actually downloading
plus its quicker

u convert it to ur itunes account by taking it from the little section at the bottom where it shows whats already downloaded and what is downloading and dragging it to ur library

to make sure it isnt a virus play it in windows media player and if a little box comes up asking if u wanna play it ,it means it is a virus....then u delete it and then delete it agian in the recycle bin.....if a box doesnt come up then ur good

Just copy it into your ipod by dragging the icon..... and usually when a download is corrupted it tells you.
