Is downloading Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended for the free 30 days really worth it?

I haven't really used Photoshop before but I really want to learn. I'm taking a class that is teaching me a BIT about it but I want to be able to learn about it at home with my own - personal photos.

Has anyone here downloaded the free trial before? Is it worth it?

It's the full version. There's nothing missing.

Honestly, it's worth it because if you delete the files from your registry after you use it, you can keep using the trial over and over.

But it's sort of scary, since your registry is your whole computer and you can delete things that will make the computer stop functioning.

But if you want to give it a try, you can get there by using the run command from your computer and typing in "/regedit" [without quotations]. If you have Vista, you can get it from the start menu and search. I suppose you could try that in XP, too. Once that opens, you can see everything on your computer and you can delete the file, thus erasing it from existence on your computer.

Just doing 'Add and Remove Programs' only get's rid of the main file, but leaves smaller files on the hard drive that will make it so you can't use the trial again. That's why you have to edit the registry.

But either way, the trial is the full version, just like the one you purchase off the shelf.

The trial is the full version with a 30 day period in which you can use it.

It's a free trial, of course it's worth it. But once that 30 days runs out, you will have to decide whether to buy it or not. PLEASE do NOT ask how to get it for free, because that's illegal.

Good luck.

Well..it's a $600 application free for 30 days. No features are locked, the entire program works as if you bought it...for 30 days. Photoshop is an amazing intuitive program that may be complex, but because of that complexity you can produce results that are not attainable with any other program.

If Photoshop is too much at first, try out the free alternative:

Gimp.org

It's a lumbering hog (it uses lots of resources), but is the most powerful software out there.

Photoshop Elements is only $99 and does almost everything you need. That's another option.

If it's free and you have nothing to risk, why not?

yes, absolutely no downside. ITS FREE. what can harm u?
