My computer is MESSED!!?

Ok i was www.moviesister.com and searched for a movie. After searching my computer just turned off. After restarting it, it would get to the loading window and then restart. I manually Turned off the computer and then it said that i can start normally or use safe mode. I have tried both and once it gets to the loading page it turns off again. Does anyone know how i can fix this problem? And also why this has happended.

It could very well be a hardware problem but I suggest trying to reinstall the software. Insert your Operating System disk in the CD tray and reboot. When you get into the setup pages do not (NOT) use the Recovery console for repair. A couple of screens past that question is the option to replace or repair.Select that repair option and try a repair first, then reinstall if the repair doesn't work.

This sounds complicated but print this and if you follow these directions you should be OK. It may not solve your problem but you have nothing to lose ...

The following are directions to reinstall XP. I won't repeat it for the "repair process" so just follow the steps and when you get to the option to repair, choose the "r". Again .. DO NOT choose the option to repair with the recovery console. That's important!!!

NOTE: Before proceeding, be sure that there are no floppy or flash memory drives inserted.
NOTE: If you reinstall, all data on the hard disk will be permanently deleted.

Note: To start your computer from the Windows XP CD, the computer must be configured to start from the CD-ROM drive. You will probably have to modify your computer's BIOS settings to set this configuration. (Press F2 at Startup. Go to BOOT SEQUENCE and change the 鈥淏oot鈥?order so that the CD鈥揜OM is first in the sequence.)

Format Hard Disk
1. Insert the Windows XP CD into your CD-ROM drive, then restart the computer.
2. Press F8 to accept the Windows XP Licensing Agreement.
3. If an existing Windows XP installation is detected, you are prompted to replace or repair. Press ESC to continue with formatting.

NOTE: Before the disk can be formatted you must first delete the existing partition

4. All the existing partitions and the unpartitioned spaces are listed for the hard disk. Press D to delete an existing partition then press L to confirm that you want to delete the partition. When all the partitions are deleted, select the unpartitioned space, and then press C to create the new partition.

5. Press ENTER to create the partition with the maximum size.

6. To install Windows XP, use the ARROW keys to select the partition where you want to install Windows XP, and then press ENTER.
7. Choose the following format option:

"Format the partition by using the NTFS file system"

Takes about an hour to reinstall the system.
Best wishes ,,,,

Yea this has happened to me, most likely your motherboard has died. You could try reformatting, but in my case it was the motherboard.

you have 2 options

1. reformat your hardrive

2. see if mouse or keyborad or etc turn on if they dont your motherboard is dead
