Can I install microsoft office 2007 onto a pc using windows XP?

I have got Microsoft Office 2007 on my laptop which runs with Windows Vista.
Our home PC is windows XP which we have office 2003 on.
Will Office 2007 work on the XP system or does it have to be Vista?

Yes, XP SP2 can have Office 2007 installed. However, there are other minimum system requirements that need to be taken into consideration (such as RAM). In addition, since there are 8 different Office 2007 suites to choose from, the requirements aren't the same for each. In addition, you indicate that you have Office 2003 installed. You can download the free compatibility pack from Microsoft.

I have 2007 on several computer that are still XP and they work equally as well as on my Vista computer but then I have lots of RAM on all computers.
