Is there an easy way to select every other row in Excel?

Currenly i am wanting to change background color in every other row in excel!
i'm clicking on them with the ctrl key and then selecting my background color!
is there any way to automate this?

You can easily shade every other row using Conditional Formatting.

1) Format > Conditional Formatting

2) Set Condition 1 to "Formula Is"

3) =MOD(ROW(),2)=0

4) Click Format > Patterns and shade color

5) Click Ok and every other row will be shaded that color

Or go to the top left corner and click.
