How to remove addresses from the toolbar that remain after clearing history? |
I've cleared the history, cookies and everything under tools-internet options. One particular website pops into the address bar when www.f is typed. I've run anti-virus tools and I just can't get rid of this site. I would appreciate any help. Did you delete Form Data too? If so, you might also need to go back to Internet Options, select the Content tab, click on AutoComplete Settings and delete your AutoComplete History. Also, when you click the arrow at the right of the address bar, does the URL appear in the dropdown list? If so you will need to delete it from your registry: http://www.pctipsbox.com/internet-explor... There a tools you can download that will do this for you. Just search for "clear address bar" along with the version of Windows you are using. Mine doesn't the same thing with websites that I visit everyday. I can't figure out how to erase it either. check if a website starting with f is in your favorites |
