Trojan Horse question, any one know this one, it showed up on my daughters computer today? You will get tons of responses for this, but I do this for a living. sure run spybot antivirus, should remove it or quarantine it there abit tough to get ride of, the quick way out is just restore your system AVG free anti virus is the best, and you can download it free. She probably received or installed an infected application or stole some music from Limewire or similar site which 100% of teens source their music from. trojan horse virus is a nightmare to get rid of! and u need to get rid of it asap! it can cause havok with your pc and possibly stops it from working if u carry on using the PC while it is still active! Use Spybot- Search and Destroy.. If you still have the Trojan I would suggest Formatting the Hard-Drive and then Re-Install the software. PM me if you need help. To properly remove a Trojan Horse requires you to go into the Registry and, if it is a back door Trojan you will need to go into the system 32 folder which is part of the Operating System. How did it show up - did she open IE & a warning pop up ? If so she not got a trojan she has smitfraud; the trojan a fake: what is the exact name of the trojan horse? |
