Pc Virus...? |
My friends pc is infected with win32.rundll virus.he has norton & spysweeper protection on his pc.we tried to delete the registry entries of the virus,but it seems to be blocking or hiding in the registry.how can we get rid of it. This is added as a result of the SDBOT worm. I listed a source to the averttools from McAfee. What you want is the stand-alone removal tool called Stinger v3.8.0. Don't forget to check out the rest of their site for any additional removal processes if you are going to try and do it manually. format and reinstall windows. the computer will run better anyway, so it's worth it. AVG/kaspersky/zonealarm check them out You have winfixer. Google it. It is possible to get rid of, but very hard, and time consuming. I got the same thing and figured out it is easiest to simply backup valuable data, then reformat and reinstall the os. spyware doctor + serials.ws = no virus's I would say if you dont want to format the disk and delete all your stuff, only restore windows on older days, when there was no virus there. If you really have to format, backup all the important stuff first. Physically remove remove the infected hard drive from the computer, then connect it as a slave in another computer and run a full scan on it to delete the virus. Cumbersome solution, but it works. OMG had this not too long ago. I absolutely could not get rid of it!!!! I had do to what Dave says. There are a lot of antispy, ad, and virus geek-made website that have forums. Hijackthis might help with forum support. I think I got mine from trying to download psp games on limewire. I just had to totally wipe out windows and start all over. Sorry dude. It would be worth disabling the system restore as the virus can often be hiding there and come back after your clean up attempts. Right Click my computer then go to properties then disable system restore. Try again with all the usual kill the virus techniques I'm sure you already know! It is most likely hiding in your restore partition. hire a pc tech if you want to keep your programs and settings or just backup data and wipe/reload. |
