If I buy limewire for my computer, is it safer in regards to virus protection than the free edition?

I have always used Limewire but got hit with a malware virus. I know when you buy programs like winamp and limewire that there is less advertising, but is the security better also?

No. Purchasing LimeWire ONLY increases your download speed. It has no bearing on whether or not you are dumb enough to download an infected file.

Buying Limewire is like buying a solar-powered flashlight. Ok? Go download Frostwire. Faster downloads, same network, FREEEEEEEEE

It depends on how you use it. You have to be careful what you download. Even if you have the Pro Edition. It can't stop you from using the program unsafely.

Here is the list of features for the Pro Edition:

Remember, that is the only place to buy Limewire. Any other site selling it is likely a scam.

Get limewire pro through limewire. It's a zip file LimeWire PRO 4.12.3. It works great.

Um, no, that wont make you immune from getting a virus. The more illegal stuff you download thru Limewire, the greater the chances are of getting a virus. If you dont want a virus, then you need a second computer and some really good anti-virus and anti-rootkit software and to scan everything you download before using it. Even MP3 files can be made into viruses and trojans.

No. it makes your downloads just fast nothing else

Let me get this straight. You want to use Limewire Pro (the pay version) so you can illegally steal music, software and movies.

Since you are stealing anyway, why didn't you just download the free version of Limewire and use it to download a pirated version of Limewire Pro, for free?

Thieves are not very bright people, eh?
