Please help I am begging you?

Please help me with this because I have to go and I don't want my comp to lock. OKay, I have a laptop and I went to rask manager and went to change my password. Well in the box where I am supposed to put in my old password I typed it in and clicked enter without typing in a new one. Well it said my password was changed even though I did not add a new one. Now I don't know what it is because it has been changed. So please tell me right away. PLEASE I am begging you. I will do anything. If you can also help, is there a thing that will not make my comp go on standby and lock?

You cahnged it to nothing.....try loggin in leaving the password blank...

Your password is probably blank, since you did not type anything for a new one

you have just set the password to nothing. simply click the user account and you're in.

Simple (and good news) answer: If it went the way you said it went, there will not be a password to enter. Now... it may pop up and ask for one, just don't put anything in the field and click OK.

well if you didn't enter a password your password should be just that, nothing, its not unheard of

so i would just go to change the password again and put in nothing as your current password and type in something new

to turn off stand by mode:
right click on your desktop and goto 'properties'
click on the screen saver tab
and click the power settings button in the lower right corner
here you can turn off your stand by

If this is the Windows password, you may be able to reboot, and while booting up, press F8 to go into Safe Mode. Assuming you don't have any password set for the Admin account, log-in as admin, go to Control Panel>User Accounts and change the password of your user account that you were locked out of. (Or delete it and create a new one)
