Help! Spyware attack!?

Ok, I've tried just about every spyware program available and NOTHING is catching this. What's happening is that my desktop is blue and says "Warning: Spyware Threat Has Been Detected On Your PC" and it has a link to a fake anti-spyware site. I get popups from this site all the time (on Internet Explorer, which I don't even use anymore) and I can't use the task manager. Plus, it seems to be slowing everything down. None of the best anti-spyware programs are catching this and registry cleaners don't even work. When I search this, I see that other people have the EXACT same problems, but they're all posted on forums that I have NO IDEA how to read. So yeah, I'm in a bit of a crisis mode. Please help!!!

Is that phony alert or warning or popups, trying to sell you one of these useless products that are listed here?:

If your answer is "Yes" then keep on reading...

(DO NOT BUY THE PRODUCT THEY TRY TO SELL YOU! IT IS SCAM.)

A specialised removal tool will be needed to remove the malware (Smitfraud or Vundo) that is causing your problem. Almost all "general purpose","all-in one" spyware and virus removal programs such as Adaware 2007, Norton, McAfee or Spybot S & D cannot remove Smitfraud or Vundo as you have already found out.

A good removal tool that specialises in removing these 2 types of infections is RogueRemover Free:
http://www.malwarebytes.org/rogueremover...

After running RogueRemover, to clean-up any remaining infection traces, scan for trojans,
and spyware etc and remove (free online scan, no downloaded program) with Ewido Online Scanner ( now known as AVG Anti-Spyware). This is NOT the same as AVG Anti-Virus. Press "Scan your computer now online and clean it for free!" on the left.

Good luck.

Are your spyware definitions current?

Do you have anti-virus software, too? This might be a virus, not spyware.

Try this tool from Microsoft. It is really kewl and help me recover my system.

If you can, download and install Spybot S&D, Lavasoft's Ad Aware and AVG Anti Spyware.

After install all three, disconnect the PC from the network. This may take a while but you have to scan your system separately with each spyware program - one at a time.

Reboot your PC, connect your network and hopefully your system should be clean.

Spyware Doctor(http://www.pctools.com)
And SAS (http://www.superantispyware.com)

i would try super anti spyware free edition, spyware blaster, and spyware terminator.
