It depends on whether you have a proper security suite installed from a reliable vendor (like McAfee or Norton) and whether it is properly configured and completely up to date... and it depends on whether your operating system in general is up to date with the latest security patches (windows update).. and it depends on whether you do that with safe browsing habits and common sense.

As long as you have a firewall running you're ok. Those are unsecure and it is possible to get hacked so protection is still important.

your in trouble. because a firewall does NOTHING once the packets have left your system..anyone can come by...sniff (filter)the network and know what sites your visiting and what you are sending.

i use insecure connections everyday- cheaper than paying for it:) the question is why are you on the computer while at BK ?

If You have Norton Anti-Virus, You'll have no problems!!
