Virus axel.dav? |
I have a friend who has a bad computer problem. She did a full system format and recovery and when she did, her recovery CD has a file called axel.dav. It's a virus, and it's totally screwing up her computer. . . She bought the computer from Rent A Center (which i told her was the biggest mistake). RAC is a joke. . . . . . . Is there anyway she can scan her recovery CD and get rid of axel.dav? She just told me she did not use any disks, but she used her Hard-Disk Drive System Recovery. Norton, AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html . You can also run a free registry scan using utilities from http://re7.info yes as long as her recovery cd is re-writeable. I doubt it's a re-writable CD so you Probably Can't But if It is a re-writable CD. Download a Good antivirus Like Kaspersky, AVG, Avast and put in the CD It will scan the CD automaticly and tell you it's a virus and the virus will be helpless that's when you delete everything on your CD. |
