When you read webmail, does it write what you read to the hard drive?

and is that 100% safe from hackers, or can someone open up that temporary internet file and read your email

There's a trace somewhere, either at the original writer's puter, server site for the "accounts" and, at the receipt's computer.
It's always wise and, prudent to sort and erase all emails not read, kept and/or replied to. Also, depending on legal situations, some erasure activities can even be considered criminal intent in the eyes of the law. If this applies to you, you know who you are and, are well aware of this already..lolo
Last question..Yes, it doesn't matter where the email is, if the trail can be est., court orders to gain access to the email is possible. Treat your email contents just as you would any other legal binding material, that is to say, can be used in a court of law to show intent or actions. So, if you thinking out loud by entering those thoughts on email or on a website posting, expression of desire to do something, well....Maybe you should just keep those thoughts to yourself. We know you won't..lol
