If someone has my IP address can they see what I'm looking at on my PC?

Can they see what I'm looking at on my PC, even on locked sites? If this is the case, can I change my IP Address, as I think some one may have my Number. If this is possible can you tell me how to go about this. Thought about blocking my IP but heard it can slow my PC down.

They can see only what you are looking on your PC if your PC is infected with trojan hourse.
I guess that you are not infected (if you have good AV then you do not need to care about it) and with your ip address they can be very close to your home location but not have any control of your PC.

no you cant change your ip address, but if you want protection from hacker attacks its best to use a good firewall,

id recommend zone alarm, and put your protection settings on full if your worried about somebody having your ip addy.

good luck

No.

You need not worry about your privacy online, unless you're visiting some nasty websites.

No, not unless you have some large security holes.

You can't get information off a PC just by knowing their IP address.

If you have cable/dsl, you may be able to get a new IP address by rebooting your cable modem/router.

I don't know what you mean by blocking your IP address -- you need that if you want to use IP traffic (web pages, e-mail, etc.).

They cannot c wat u are looking on your pc, but they can access you pc thorough different ports. but that also depends if you have a static ip or a variable ip. I havent heard that hiding ip address slows the pc down.

There is a way that people can put in all of the information that you have onto their computers and get everything that is on yours. One of our pastors and his son have this. They live in different places and they both run a ministry, so they both use the same computer and stuff like that, but they are in a totally different place. It's confusing, but do you get what I am saying??? =)

spy ware programs are out there. get a good fire wall and anti virus program and an anti spy program. good luck.
