Spyware/Adware problem, some advice please?

Here is the problem. You launch Internet Explorer, you browse a couple of websites (yahoo, google etc..) and a new IE Window opens with an ad to FUBAR.com or a few sites like that. It's not a normal pop-up it is a whole website. It goes to many random places too when it opens, mostly fubar.com though. Any suggestions on making the pop-ups stop? IE7 pop-up blocker won't stop it. SpyBot won't do it. Adaware won't do it. AVG won't do it. SpyDoctor won't do it. I'm clueless. Trendmicro couldn't get it either. Really aggravating.

It's possible that the programs you have installed would do the trick, but you're just not using the optimal settings. You can find my list of recommended programs (some of which you already have), their optimal settings, and scanning methods here: http://prometechus.blogspot.com/2007/09/...

You may also want to switch over to Mozilla's Firefox to decrease the chances of something like this happening again. This too is explained in the link above.

Make sure you only have one antivirus program installed on your computer. Best of luck.

try installing superantispyware and run full system scan, its free and finds things others miss. good luck

I use defender pro anti spy & it works for me.

Delete all the cookies on ur browser. Go to Tools and Delete Browsing History. Choose the top 3 buttons.

I think a malware has modified your registry and IE setting. Check your registry, there are many apps for this. You may also want to try "HijackThis" a small app to check what may be wrong with your PC.

Purchase a McAfee Security Suite CD at your computer store. It does everything.
