OMG help, I have a computer virus.? 10points!?

I'm ashamed of myself. I went on a porn site and it asked my to download a program to watch a certain video. ANd i did. And now my computer runs slower and i have an extra tool bar that i dont even know where it came from, and i get randomly redirected to a different site. I did a scan and it said i am infected with a backdoor Trojan. Some one please help me! I dont know what to do or how to get rid of it. ANd also every time i go to the internet a pop up comes up saying that I have a virus thats 123,454 bytes (or something like that). Please help me! I have no cluse what to do. My laptop is an hp pavillion, and uses windows vista. Some one please help me im soooooo scared that someone will find out! please help me i dont even have the words to describe how freaked out i am. someone please help me, i dont want my parents to find out! I want to get rid of the trojan without haveing to pay for a trial or anything cause then my parents will find out.

i have already tried downloading a bunch of anti spyware whatever crap and none of the removed the problem. they just notified me of them, so please dont reccomend another one of them.

You should hire a computer technician since you do not know the name of the infection, which or how many files are infected.

Without that information it would be very very hard to give you removal instructions.

Use online virus scanner such as Bitdefender, ESET or Norton.

Download Clam Anti Virus install and run virus check.

See what happens when you don't use protection ?hehe.
If you are not running a AV program on your computer, it
doesn't matter what sites you visit. You're asking for trouble.
You can download free AV programs to use at "Download.com". I use AVG(grisoft) and it does a good job at
finding things that dont belong.(its FREE) Hope you have a lot of spare time because downloading a program and then running it can be quite time consuming, but worth it. Stay away from trial versions that want you to pay for later. They will let you scan your computer but probably wont do anything about removing a virus without payment first.
Good Luck !
BTW, What kind of pop up are you seeing ? Is it from a AV program thats already on your computer? If it is ,try running it manually and see if it can find and delete your problem.

go to control panel , go to add and remove programs , over there remove ur new toolbar installation and the program u installed .

ur problem is not a virus ur problem is an adware.

download an adware program and use it to remove ur problem.

OK, lots of people watch porn, especially when they're young, it's pretty normal. Lots of people get trojans and other crap from it, too.

Downloading loads of programs to try to resolve the problem isn't always the answer and it's possible that some of these programs might themselves be malicious.

An online scan is a good idea, these two are good as they will also remove anything they find:
NOD32 online scan:
http://www.eset.com/onlinescan/
BitDefender online scan:
http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html

If that doesn't cure the problem it's *possible* that an anti-spyware program will but it's also a little unlikely unless it's a specialised program, and to know which one you need we'd need to know which trojan(s) you have. The specialised programs can also be quite complicated to use and you could do more harm than good if you don't know how to use them.

I'd suggest posting the problem at a specialist security forum and following their advice. Bleeping Computer is a good one: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/f...

First try

Avira antivirus http://www.free-av.com
Very good and
Avast Antivirus http://www.avast.com

Then

Spyware Doctor (able to remove things)
from http://www.pack.google.com

Then go into safe mode by pressing F8 when you start your computer

Run Scans

Restart again and see if this will work

P.S. for the internet tracks download CCleaner and wipe your history http://www.ccleaner.com

Good luck

AVG Anti virus and McAfee virus scan are supposed to help a lot.check out http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-sAFtLsc8e... for more details.
