I can't find my IP address how do I?

When i go on certain websites they say my IP address is found somewhere in yorkshire where i don't live is it possible than someone has stole it and is using it there

windows key + R> type - cmd> in the black box that pops up, type - ip config/all > enter> there is your ip address

press start > run > type cmd, hit enter > in the black screen type "ipconfig"...

go to c prompt type ipconfig/all

Not likely. There are many points where your IP address is directed, from your computer, to the website you are visiting. It is likely that this is what has happened.

Go to Start, then click Run

type "tracert www.WEBSITE.com"

You should see where your being routed, most likely one of these addresses is the one in yorkshire.

You could check out this site its easy to work it should automatically pick up your proxy server or IP address. It is possible that someone could have picked up your IP but they might not realise also it couldnt be possible if you live outside Northern England. The site is = http://whatismyipaddress.com/ it even shows where your IP is coming from and going out its easy to work and you can even change your IP from this site, its secure aswell so nobody can find this information or anything. Just type in Google Search, find my IP Number? you will get taken straight to a site that will supply it to you.
