i cannt access the internet and it displays hijacked by spider on internet explorer.

Without knowing the actual name of the malware you've been infected with there isn't anything anyone can tell you (that is absolutely correct) aside from recommending that you INVEST in a proper security suite that includes antivirus, firewall, antispyware, etc and is from a RELIABLE vendor (like McAfee or Norton) that is properly configured and completely up to date...

.. anyone telling you to download some free tool or free fix is either misinformed (im trying to be nice) or they are being intentionally malicious towards you.

Clearly you've downloaded something that did this to your computer which is a lack of security awareness on your part.. and clearly you have inadequate or no security protecting your computer and/or you ignored the warnings.

Some malware will require manual removal steps be performed by the user before security programs can remove the problem... but as I stated in the opening.. without knowing exactly what you've got there is no way to know if you can't take care of this simply by getting a proper security suite.

Formatting the computer and reinstalling everything is certainly an option... but if you're not going to follow it up with proper security.. what's the point?

Good Luck

reformat your computer.

Most likey you donwloaded something you shoudlnt have given him acess to your computer.

so the only way is to delete that hack he has on your comp which will be hard to find or take the simple route......REFORMAT

Damn that Spiderman!! Is there no end to his heinous acts?!

There is no need to format your Hard Disk.
Its just a trojan infecting your computer. Get it scanned with a good security software.

I came across this issue a few days ago.

A user had the following message on the Inter Explorer bar 鈥淗acked by Spiderman 2007 June 10)鈥?br>
Sadly, McAfee AV and AntiSpyware did not pick up any viruses etc.

So i downloaded AVG FREE edition and guess what鈥︹€︹€︹€?.it found the virus and deleted it.

To be sure I also downloaded a file from http://www.mediafire.com/?2dntyizcygg

This handy tool removes all the extra bits and pieces.

So moral of the story is that you dont always get what you pay for.

To fix :

1. Download and run flash disinfector

2. Download and Update AVG Free

3. Run AVG and delete any infections

4. Reboot.

5. DONE!

download and run the spyware removal tool from the internet.

If you want to get rid of it there is a free trial of Kaspersky that i am sure will clean your machine. I have tried them all. Avast is the best free one out there. But if your serious go download Avast and try it. If it doesn't get rid of your infection Kaspersky will. It's a free 30day trial. I had 125 Trojans on my machine that Avast let get through. Kaspersky got them all. Including a key logger' A hacker' And a bunch of other junk.

ForensicGirl is correct. I certainly appreciate someone on Yahoo! Answers that really explains the issues like they are.

Security on your machine is something that falls squarely on you.

An example: I don't have anti-virus and I never have problems. I prove this fact by running anti-virus via HouseCall from TrendMicro. It's a web based service that scans your computer for malware, viruses, and other vulerabilities. I have never once had a problem after scanning the system.

It proves that if you know what you are doing, you can prevent most issues on your own.
