How do I REMOVE Security Toolbar 7.1 from my computer?????

This is a really nasty bit of malware that has extemely involved removal steps that must be completed by the user... and as always I know many sites offer a "tool" to run these for you but I advise you to either figure out how to perform the manual removal yourself or hire a tech or format the drive.

That being said... if you do not follow this up and INVEST in a PROPER security SUITE (antivirus, firewall, antispyware, etc) from a RELIABLE vendor (like McAfee or Norton) and ensure it is properly configured and completely up to date.. and kept that way... you are doomed to repeat your situation.

You MUST start using common sense and stop listening to people and downloading every single crapware you are referred to...

go to start.....control panel....click on add remove programs.....select the security 7.1 toolbar...then select remove.

Hell, I just had that problem last week and it was a pain in the azz. I've got the dam thing saved somewhere on mine. Give me a few min. and I'll try to get it to you.

Ugh, here are 2 programs that will remove it 100%. No lectures and nothing to buy. I think the other program only works once you buy it.

Just download Spybot from download.com. You'll need this program to remove spyware crap off your computer on a weekly basis anyway. It is one of thebest, it is small, and it is free!

Now to make sure the stupid thing is gone, download unhackme, use it, and then uninstall it....because it is on a trial basis.

So there you go, all clean and no worries because it'll remove the program and its ugly little parts. No need to hunt those files down as listed in that one website. That's way too much work.
