Application. Tracking Cookies threat name?

how do i stop cookies getting in to my computer..keep getting viruses threat name Application.Tracking Cookies. .. I clear them with doctor spyware removal .. but i keep getting this virus back.

I think this requires a wider explanation because sometimes it doesn't end with cookies:

- tracking cookies are mainly from fastclick or similar
- usually are adverts and the threat is low
- cookies can be found on:
c:\Documents and Settings\ user \Cookies\

- most cookies are made so you don't have to type in username/password, that info can be stolen from your pc
- use spyware/adware/malware etc removing software
- pay attention to:
c:\Documents and Settings\ user \Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\
there you may find folders:
-crypto
-protect
also you may find some unwanted processes, registry entries and exe files in windows or windows/system folder
delete them
- you may also notice that search results on your favorite search engine are not what you expected which is the result of spyware you may have or proxyhijacking (nothing to worry, that is only if you own a website/blog and is used to move the searchresults on searchengines to more/less favorable position, and it's not the result of something tat you may have in your pc)
- there is a lot more but I don't have the needed patience to write it all
- a good spyware removing software and a good antivirus/firewall and you are home free

Go into your internet settings (this varies depending which browser you are using) and then disable cookies. If you are using IE go to Internet Options and uncheck the "Allow Cookies" button.

Cookies do not usually pose a threat, anti-virus and anti-spyware programs tell you they do but they are not usually anything to worry about.
Visit some techie forums, they will tell you the same!

if you use internet explorer 6/7 or msn. you will get tracking cookies every day switch to firefox and install 2 add ons noscript and addblocker plus this cuts them down

download and run ccleaner from http://www.geeksjunction.com to delete the cookies from the computer.

tracking cookies don't infect your computer on their own out of nowhere. they are stored on a computer once a website that uses tracking cookies is visited. the next time spyware doctor detects tracking cookies, take a look at the names and don't visit that website anymore.
