What is the best Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware for computers?

I have a new computer and I don't use much space so RAM or space isn't a problem, I'm willing to go to Best Buy and spend money on a good program.

If anyone thinks their protection software is good please tell me what it is.

I'm thinking Nortan or a good edition of AVG.

Don't tell me McAfee by the way.

As a IT person I recommend Panda Internet security 2008 covers all viruses malware, and adware also cover upto 3 pc and isn't a system hog like Norton and other anti virus programs.
DON'T USE NORTON I remove Nrotn daily off business machines its a system hog, flags good items as viruses and misses real one don't use Norton!!!!!

Get the Kasperskt Internet Security Suite....or get only the Kespersky anti-virus.
I've been using kaspersky for long and i can tell you that i've never seen any anti virus as good as it for now

I have tried several programs, purchased and freeware. The ones I have been very successful with are: AVG Free, Spybot, and Advanced Windows Care. all are freeware.

BitDefender is the best these days of course but u can use AVG (latest Version) or Norton 360
