Pop ups?!?!?

I need a GOOD pop up blocker badly . there are so many popups each time i use the internet. i use ____MOZILLA FIREFOX____. i heard that it was supposed to have a built in block up blocker but pop ups still come up.PLEASE TELL ME A GOOD AND RELIABLE POP UP BLOCKER THAT HAS NO SPYWARE OR ADWARE.help!(i see another popup right now!)

If you are seeing pop-ups even when going to a site that should not serve pop-ups, then you are likely a victim of Spyware or Adware; http://pack.google.com (The Google Pack) offers Spyware Doctor and Norton Security Scan, both of which are very capable at removing spyware and adware.
However, I see no reason why Firefox's pop-up blocker should fail; try Googling for a good pop-up blocker, and check to make sure it's legitimate at Wikipedia.

I would recommend that you use Mozilla's Firefox browser, and then download the Ad Block Plus add-on. I use EasyLists 3 lists (Ads, Elements, and Tracking), and they work amazingly well. u r not talking about internet pop-ups, u r talking about spyware pop-ups, which are made to look like internet pop ups.
go to download.com and install lavasoft ad-aware; update it, and then run a full system scan. also install spybot search & destroy. with the spybot, update it, but do not run a scan with it, but use immunization.
then go to free.grisoft.com and download the free AVG anti-virus, and run a scan after u update the program. avg finds way more viruses then norton and doesnt hardly slow downur computer and doesnt interfere with what u are doing on the net.
u can delete avg from ur programs once u have ran the scan and delete the viruses; but run it once to get rid of what is there, and if u dont want it, u dont have to keep it.. ive ran avg next to norton. norton found nothing, while avg found 41 viruses on the same machine.

these 3 programs ran together will make everything A..OK.. unless u have something really really serious, but it doesnt sound like it..

remember, just use spybot for immunization; not the scan. i dont like the scan because it can get confusing to people that dont know much about computers and system files will come up with the option to delete.. although u can restore them, its just not worth the trouble to run the scan becuz ad-aware finds everything anyways.

Pop-ups are mostly caused by ad ware, spy ware, and other malicious and unwanted software.
