How do you securely delete temporary internet files from your computer?

How do you after you delete your temporary files, make sure that they are seculey deleted and can never be recovered again? Like for example when they are in the "archives" of the computer, or whatever you would call it that they go when they are deleted from their proper place in a temporary folder in the c drive. How do you go about taking it out of the computer forever? what would i have to do? and what are the less costly alternitives (if it is costly) of going through this process? (please only answer if you know how to do this or if you have and inkling of and idea not your opioun or the common i dont know).

Just to mention if the wipe of temp files i speak of, i need to know if they are going to be completely gone, gone that if an IT technician came or someone just smart came it would have to be a wipe that they couldnt even recover anything, they would have had to do it before the clean to get the data. How is a clean like that done?

You have to perform a "secure delete" to remove information permanently. This is the only real way to erase information off of magnetic media. This works by encrypting the data and deleting it many times over until its nothing more than unreadable code. Shredding is another technique but not nearly as effective. Also. The US Dept of Defense endorse "secure delete" as the only way to permanently remove data. Check out this link.

CCleaner has secure file deletion which you can set to overwrite as many as 35 passes. Department of Defense option is 3 passes. I personally love this free program.

CCleaner is a freeware system optimization and privacy tool. It removes unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. CCleaner also fixes your registry. But the best part is that it's fast (normally taking less than a second to run) and contains NO Spyware or Adware.

There is also software like BCWipe which lets you permanently wipe only the free space on your hard drive while leaving the non-deleted files intact by overwriting those deleted files with lots of random data so it can't be recovered.

there is absolutly no way

Get ccleaner from http://www.ccleaner.com. In the advanced options there is a secure delete option of computer histories. You can use military grade deletion which writes over the data multiple times. Also see http://www.freeantivirushelp.com for more information.

To securely delete temporary internet files, empty them normally, then securely wipe the free space on your system using a secure wipe program such as Eraser.

Use any cleaner software most of them having secure eraseing ability..
