Proxy problem..?

ok i just uninstalled proxy switcher. i was using a proxy before but i uninstalled the program. now everytime i go to a site its so slow. like dial up slow. and when i check whatsmyip.org it said i was using a proxy. how do i turn off the proxy even though i uninstalled proxy switcher?

steve can u help me i cant find "direct connection with the isp"

For IE 6/7:
Tools->Internet Options-> Connections Tab->Lan Settings buttion.
Uncheck "use Proxy server for your LAN"

For Firefox:
Tools->Options->Advanced Tab->Network Tab->Settings Button.
Click the radio button next to Direct Connection to the Internet.

Check your IE Tools Connection settings and change from an IP setting to a Direct Connection with the ISP.
