What is better? ie or fire fox?

So is it worthless? When i use fire fox i don't get the pop ups. I heard internet explorer is all about spying on you is that true?

firefox is a much better browser then IE , anyone telling you different has no clue what they are talking about .

this is not just my opinion it's a known fact . and one of the major reasons microsoft attempted to copy it with the release of IE7

IE doesn't spy on you but they don't prevent the fact. Firefox is much better its very customizable faster, safer, and better feel(you can get new themes). Once you get firefox get the plugins noscripts, and ad block plus, you will never see an ad again lol.

with noscripts you can allow certain scripts throught by simply clicking a button.

It's not true. Whichever you prefer is what is better for you.
Try googling "firefox myths".

Firefox is no safer than IE. If you are getting less pop-ups it is either your imagination, a configuration issue, or you're going to different sites.

If you want to be secure... invest in a proper security suite (antivirus, firewall, antispyware, etc) from a reliable vendor (like mcafee or even norton) and ensure whichever you choose is properly configured and kept completely up to date.

many users forget to make sure that Windows Updates are automatically downloading and installing updates or they are using pirated versions of windows that will not allow updates... either way this would preclude them from being able to update the security patches of IE and would certainly leave them open to any vulnerabilities from older versions.. the same is true of firefox...

the only thing you need to fear is yourself and that includes listening to bad advice.

Use safe browsing habits and some common sense and you should be fine. an unsafe user is no more secure with a particular browser.

Good Luck

well internet explorer does not spy
firefox is just a secirue way to browse
my opinion firefox
internet explorer is the same company that makes windows xp and windows vista

or you could try safari for windows

but the main thing just make sure you have good firewall

but it doesnt matter which browser u choose

Firefox
Opera is even better.
