Putting delete history aside can I access a website without leaving any trace in the history?

I would like to leave the history of websites visited intact but would like the option of not having certain websites shown on the history. In other words is it possible to be selective about what is saved on the history file.

Sure.. just open the 'history pane' in your browser... right click on the entry and then select delete.

Poof ... it's gone.

Now.. if you typed in the URL it will still show in the "Address" box if you used the drop down arrow for it. Run RegEdit and search for 'Typed URL' and you'll find where these are stored and you can delete the ones you don't want to show. Each key is labeled as 'URL1, URL2... etc.' You can just delete the full key (example URl1) and then rename the largest one (example URL15) to URL1. As long as there URL numbers are consecutive, it will function correctly.

Good luck in sneakiness!

no

Nope. Everything is saved in a history file. Just delete it using CCleaner or something. Don't be trying to hide things either!

sneaky sneaky :)

i dont know the answer but im curious as to what you are being so sneaky about lol.

not at all try using fire fox

No, I'm afraid all those porn sites can be located.

why wot you got to hide:-)

if you mean on the adress bar what you can do is google the website and click the link. That will take you to the website and not appear in the history when you start to type the site name.

Yes You can view the contents of the Temporary Internet Files And there you can imagine by viewing seen objects and finally can conclude by images the Web under its Properties..

i was going to say yes, but looks like the new internet explorer took that option out... if u dont have I.E. 7, u can open browsing history and delete a couple at a time.

no all your porn sites will still show up

Short sharp and simple NO!!
Why would you want to ? have you something to hide from someone maybe? you naughty person you!!!

YES!!! no matter what they say it is possible to be selective. if your using windows go into internet explorer and select the tools button. Then click internet options.
And then look in the middle of the window and it will say browsing history and will have 2 buttons. [Delete...] and [Settings]. click settings.then about 2/3 down the window it will have a button saying [View Files] click that. now you have opened the folder with all your cookies and history feel free to delete the one you want.

Dealte from history

Of course you can. Run a VMware linux machine from windows to do all your dodgy kleenex surfing then. just close it down no one will be the wiser!
