When first i open IE it takes it a few seconds to recognize my keystrokes?

My computer is plenty fast. I also use spyware doctor, registry mechanic and Avg anti virus(which scan & update daily). The delay is only about 5-10 secs, but is very annoying. It used to not do this. What going on? Thanks.

Internet Explorer is just a terrible browser. Try firefox, it is a free (and GREAT) web browser that is very fast

Have you been stroking on the keyboard?

If there are any toolbard in your IE that are not needed that could slow it down, really all you need is 1 toolbar. Also if you clear all your history, cookies and all, it should perform better.

If those don't help open up IE and task manager at the same time and see if there are any unneeded processes running, other than that just clear up programs you don't use or any other excess files.
