What does it mean when someone asks you to put a value on your password on the computer? Hrm, never heard of puting a value on your password. I think they are referring to putting a numeric value within your password. By mixing alpha and numeric characters, it will help prevent most dictionary attacks. People can use a dictionary attack to try common names and words (typically found in a dictionary) to try and crack your password. Putting numbercs in there like "yp309zi48" will create a fairly strong password. Of course the longer the string, the harder it is to crack. I havn't tried it yet, but you may also try putting in special characters such as & or ^ into your password to help make it more difficult to crack. |
