The pop-up thing says "The Procedure entry point GetProcessImageFileNameW could not be located in the dynamic link library PSAPI.DLL. " it is soo annoying and i want to get rid of it. I have a windows xp 2003. the entry maybe in your registry.
after logging in. click start > run
type 'regedit' then click OK.
you'll open regedit for windows.
go to edit > find
look for PSAPI.DLL
remove any entry that are linked to PSAPI.DLL.

The second link shows where you can get the process Explorer application from Microsoft.
Click the second link, then "download" , then "Open".
On the left, select "Extract" and choose a directory you can find again, to save the application files.
Then "Next", and "Finish"
The Windows Explorer window should still be open, showing you the application. Open it, select RUN, and agree to the license stuff. It should open.
In the upper menu select FIND, DLL then enter the dll psapi.dll
This will show you the location of every copy of the library.
Locate and rename the files. First, find each file, and check the date associated with the file( 8/3/2004 my version, Xp Pro). Start by renaming older versions first, and rebooting. Eventually you will find the one causing the problem.
The files may be in use, so start the computer in safe mode.

You can download free softwares at http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html read though, and be sure and do the step on registry repair

Use the programs twice once without internet on, and once with it running. The only program that will work in safemode F8 is AVG anti-spy ware.
Also go to control panel, internet options-privacy tab-make sure the popup blocker box is checked.
Move the slider bar to med-high-click apply-OK
Also on control panel-system-Remote-make sure both boxes are unchecked-click apply-OK (this will keep hackers from getting into computer when left on and no one is around or home)
