Remember,
Deleting a partition wont work, because its a logical (non physical) separation of the hard disk space, if you delete the partition it wont erase the space.
The correct thing to do is, format the drive and install a new copy of windows.
And i suggest to people to have two similar operating systems installed in two different partitions, so that theres a back up.
And where your computer is in well tuned state, use system restore, Create restore points and use them when your computers fails to respond. i would try to restore your system first before reloading you OS Unfortunately...some viruses have a great way to duplicate themselves in a system especially if two programs from different partitions are opened at the same time, which means that your entire HD can be contaminated. Wipe it all clean is my suggestion. just deleteing a partition will not rid you of your pest, they will still be lurking deep in PC, just in bits and pieces, restore will not get rid of them, their still there just hidden deeper, waiting to come out sooner or later
