When Im Surfing The Net I Keep Getting Things Popping Up Its Realy Anoying !!! HELP !!!?

I have done a full spyware and virus scan and deletedany thing found i have also used avg free edition which found 4525 threats which i removed but i am still getting these anoyin pop up things , why? and How Do I stop Them ?? URGENT HELP REQUIRED!!!

Type in pop-up blocker into google - i think they do their own.

Your best option is to reinstall your OS and antivirus, run all updates for both. With that number of problem you most likely have got alot of bad stuff still on your PC and a reinstall is the only sure way to remove all this.

If you have Mozilla Firefox of Netscape Navigator, then use the automatic pop-up blocker in 'Tools' - 'Options'.

If you're using Internet Explorer, I don't think there's any other option other than downloading a toolbar. And if you ask me, the best one is Google.

I'd suggest you either download the toolbar or the browser which takes very little time.

Check the following

1. Click on TOOLS..then pop up blocker...Make sure it is on..You can also adjust your level of protection here.

2. You should have a POP UP BLOCKER in your yahoo browser line.. Check that to make sure it is on. There are answers in here that explain why you are still getting popups and you can run a popup test.

3. Click on TOOLS...INTERNET OPTIONS...then PRIVACY. There you can check on your popup level and adjust it there. make sure the box is checked in front of "block popups"

4. If all else fails email...mail@cc.yahoo-inc.com...they shud be able to help..additionally, you could call your internet provider and go thru their tech support...

5. One more thing...You can enter SPAM PROTECTION in your browser. You can find free downloads to assist in blocking popups..
