My password on my computer wont work, how do I fix it?

I have Windows 2000 and the password that I have for 2 years suddenly wont work and I can not log on tot he computer. What can i do to get logged on?

do a system restore,if your password worked yesterday for example just restore it back to yesterday.

Check to make sure that your caps lock is not on / off.

If nothing has changed on the computer and the computer has not become compromised / infected then it can only be a couple things.

Try answering the security question / hint

If it's not a keyboard issue and it is not an issue of you typing it in incorrectly... then you will have to figure out what the issue is... malware or friendware.
