Random pop ups? |
Ok, I've never had a problem with pop ups that is until about 3 days ago. They just started out of nowhere and no matter what website i go to, they pop up. it's very annoying!! Sometimes pop blocker can not prevent spyware likewise anti-virus. I will suggest you install spyware blocker on your computer. Also install yahoo anti-spy on your tool bar. Do you have Spyware scanner? Download AdAware and run it. Download, install, and run Spybot Search and Destroy, and Ad-Aware. One of the worst Virus's of seen in a while is the Winreanimator Trojan Virus. This causes a pop-up every ten seconds telling you to download a copy of Winreanimator to delete the virus. If you do it only causes more damage and gets into your passwords and bank accounts. Your problem may not be that severe, but here are some things I did. First two replies (Ad-Aware & SpyBot) are a MUST. Run them regularly and DO NOT USE Micro$oft Internet Explorer! Use some other software. Norton, AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html Pop-ups are mostly caused by ad ware, spy ware, and other malicious and unwanted software. |
