Is there anyway at all to block other users on my home computer from deleting the browsing history? |
I seem to have a problem with dishonest people in my home... I do have a guest account, which is where "he" logs on, but he can still delete the browser history, etc. on that profile. How do I keep him from doing this? OR....is there a FREE 'net nanny' out there? Pornography is my main issue here. Create a guest account that they use that does NOT have administrative rights. The most secure way to protect your sensitive files (and browsing history) is to password protect your ENTIRE Windows account, allowing no one else access to it. Just go to Start > Control Panel > User Accounts > Change an account. After you set-up a password then choose to make your folders private. if your are using windows nt, 2000, xp or vista you can create individual accounts for users. just create accounts individual users. Noooooosey. Lol. Anyway, I think the first answerer is correct. |
