I have a little shild thing on the right hand of my toolbar that flahes a red X and a blue ? how do I get rid?

when I click on that little shild it takes me to a spyshield web site and I have spy sweeper on my computer. and then a warning thing pops up saying I have a virus but I ran PC cillin and it did not say I have a virus what do I do???
