My son deleted the administrator and now he is the only user and he has on limited use. Can anyone help? |
I have tried going in to safe mode. There is no admin on this computer. Is reloading windows the only way to fix it? Hi, its impossible to delete the administrator account from a limited account. You r probably using Windows Xp so if u restart in safe mode u will login in to another administrator account created while installing Windows, u can create another administrator account for yourself from there. The only way to fix this is reinstall windows. Without a admin account, you lose access to most of the things on your computer. I think its impossible to delete an administrator account. Whenever I have tried to delete one, it would always make me make another one. I dont think you can delete the administrator tell your son to change from a limited 2 the administrator Reinstall windows, or if there is no service pack installed, then try to skip the security limit, by creating a full access account in safe mode. (This is considered as a WinXp bug and only works with unpatched windows op. systems.) damnnnn you got PWND well usually when you start windows under safe mode there will be an account that you normally dont see when you start it in normal mode. if you see that account log onto it and create a new admin. account. Another thing you can do is go to youtube and type windows xp administrator. you might find some helpful videos Backup all your important data and reinstall Windows. When you're prompted to enter a password for your administrator account, enter one he'll never figure out and keep it in a safe place. I think i know what ur talking about, first I'm presuming your using XP. These instructions may seem a bit complicated, but if you follow the steps exactly, it's quite simple. This will unhide the default (cloaked) Administrator as a user on your pc, in normal mode, which you can then access to change user accounts, or create new ones. |
