Limewire 4.16???

Is limewire 4.16 or any version of limewire safe for my computer? i've head people say that is has damagaed there computer from viruses, i understand that any form of p2p sharing is potentially unsafe for your computer but exactly how safe am i from being buggered by a virus? I use windows vista home premium and i have norton 360 installed.

Theres no secret or trick to this its just that people don't know how to use google to its full potential.

I've put a link in my sources to a video that explains step by step how to use google instead of limewire, P2P networks etc..

The only downside is you need to know the name of the song your looking for and only want the one track (though you may find others along the way)

HINT it doesn't say this in the video but RIGHT CLICK the file your after and choose Save As to download it.

its not the limewire program that causes the viruses its the content thats downloaded that contains the viruses. only download files you know to be safe (and legal!)

Well it depends on the type of things you download.
I've never had a problem with any types of limewire that I've downloaded.

anything you dld on to your pc may carry a virus/trojan so make sure you scan EVERYTHING before you open it ....Limewire is no different, torrents are a much safer choice but these too can carry them but people usually leave comments if they do.........

ive never had any virus from using limewire and ive been using it for years.
i dont use it now tho, i use frostwire, its like a sister version but much better. you get turbo charged downloads and theres a communiuty chat which hosts asupport room so if your having problems they will help you out.

in the odd occurance than you do get a virus you hae norton protection so you will be alright. dont download any files which you may think will be dodgy like ones that advertise things or songs without a proper title and you'll be fine
