Help!! i have a trojan.vundo virus on my computer!!? |
My McAfee anti-spyware program keeps on popping up telling me i have this vundo virus, but when i try to delete/quarantine/ clean it says it can't. I'm on mozilla firefox right now, but my internet explorer won't work. Help please!!! few things you can do...i found that superantispyware was able to get rid of it...or spybot search and destroy ...by the way you can have both in your system ..but you can t have more than 1 antivirus...so ...me i'd get rid of mcafee..and get one free..AVG...with the 2 spyware malware adware removing programs will keep you protected...you can also dowload vundo variant remover...from atribune.org see if these help... google it you should find a solution there, by the way 1 antispyware isnt enough, you should have at lest 2, what one doesnt take care of the other should, Hope this helps. AVG free edition seems to work well. Uninstall McAfee and try it. You can also check out the support section on the McAfee site. Its a pretty good anti adware and virus protection. reboot in safe mode run the virus scanner then deletee it or (in safe mode) delet the file.To get to safe mode restart the PC abd before windows loads keep tapping the F8 key until a black screen with white type is shown use the arrow keys to pick safe mode (op.one i think) Hello, Uninstall Mcafree and download a free trial of Norton anti-virus. It has the industries leading firewall, antivirus, and anti-spyware utilites. I have a 97% feeling it will wipe out that malware. I would recemmend you to buy the full package for a year.
