You've got spyware... especially if it's the same pop-up over and over... or happens every time you to "this", for example.

Download: ad-aware - do a scan, it's open and free software, download.com will have it on their site - just search

Also, if that doesn't find the spyware to remove for you, try spybot search and destroy, can be found at download.com as well. good luck!

most virus are spread through IE. IE is not a safe browser. you should use a more secure browser to protect your PC from virus.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can block any any popup and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE browser. as you know, most of virus spread throught internet and webpage.

besides, firefox is much smaller than IE, so it run faster than IE.

Try to google the website and see what the pc geeks has to say about the site. And trust me they know their stuff. Normally, there's a certain virus/spyware which has bonded with the pc uplink to the internet.

Try to back track when did the problem start and what sites you visited. Stop surfing there.. hope this Helps.

you can't totally block popups
you can only reduce the number but companies find ways around it. Pop up blockers only work to some degree but they can also block the stuff you want. Talk with your internet provider
