I am trying to use the scanner but it keeps saying "Scanner not found"? |
I'm pretty sure all the cables are connected properly. And I know it is installed. I have used it before. The only difference is that latley my sister have been hooking her digital canmera up where the scanner is supposed to connect. OK, let's take this step by step. You don't seem to have added the scanner. or the path has been changed because your sister has hooked up her cam from that port. I hope it's XP that you"re using. Go to Start and click on it. Go to Control Panel and click on it. Go to Printers and other Hardware and click on it. Go to Scanners and Cameras and click on it. If you see your scanner there then see if it has a red "x" against it. You'll probably see nothing there, because your sisters using the cam must have erased the add. Now look to the left top corner and you'll see "Add imaging device". Click on this. It'll launch the Wizard and from there on, it's easy. All the best. Cheers! ST OH, 98? Sorry, I don't have the information on that one. check the wires Unplug your sister's camera and plug in your scanner. You may need to reinstall the driver for your scanner. Drivers are normally on the CD that came with a scanner. Unplug the scanner from your computer, install the drivers then plug the scanner back into the computer and turn on. Good luck. I think the biggest factor is going to be how much you are printing and what you normally print. i.e. lots of color, plain black text etc... Look on the different vendors websites for color ... You need a complete copy of windows xp.... try and got to canon forums and see if someone has a fix for this problem. i have vista and my epson wouldnt work at first but i got it to work with some help from fellow forum bloggers... |
