MP210--Scanner Problems!?

Okay, i got the canon MP210 All-in-one and the scanner isnt working. Each time i turn it on, the screen says E22. What does that mean? How do i get it to work? Each time i try to scan from the computer, it says Code: 2250,0...is that an error code.. Someone PLEASE help meee

To deal with the error code E 2 2 -- Try disconnecting the power cord; wait a minute or so, then plug it back in and turn it on.
**While you're waiting that minute or so, take that time to look around inside and underneath and around the back of the machine to see if any packaging materials (tape, Styrofoam, etc.) may have mistakenly been left there.
Also, re-seat each of the ink tanks to make sure they're in there properly....

For the other error code, try making sure there is paper loaded in the REAR paper feed and double-check to make sure your ink isn't empty....

IF worse comes to worst, you could delete the printer from the computer and download the newest drivers/software direct from Canon's website. If you do this, make sure you follow all of the directions.... Here's the link....

I randomly chose XP as the operating system.. if that isn't correct, change the OS on the drop-down where it says Windows XP.

if you've installed all the correct drivers for the printer portion and the scanner portion then you shouldn't have any problems. make sure they are the updated versions for the OS you are using. also the o/i might be tying to use more than one devise at a time...go into your devise manager and see if your printer has a yellow outline with an ! in it.. if it does then it's interfering with another devise. find which devise it is and disable it.. then you should be able to send the printing and scanning information no problem.
