Cropping pictures that have been scanned? |
I have a group picture but I want to save just the part showing my face (for a dating site), how do I cut it and paste it to a jpg document.? Use Microsoft Paint. Once you have scanned the image save it in my pictures where you can find it easily. Then you can view the picture in the windows picture and fax viewer. across the bottom you will see a list of icons, if you hover over them with the mouse you will see each function. You need to click the one that says 'closes this program and opens the image for editing' this will then opeen the paint application where you can crop the unwanted bits from your photograph. If you have Microsoft Office then right click on the photo and go to open with and click on Microsoft Office Picture Manager. Then in the program go to edit picture or something like that, click on crop, and adjust it. Then save. If you do not have this then you can use paint but it is much harder. normally a scanned picture wont let you edit it.To remedy this click on the top open paint then save as click the small arrow for drop down choices click on jpeg. Now open the jpeg picture from the place you stored it and edit and crop |
